I’ve learned a lot recently about radio syndication from my friends in the biz and that has convinced me to make some changes to the way I approach the creation and distribution of Anderson in The MIDDLE. The show WILL return, but rather than do it for a small group of loyal fans and listeners, I want this to be a business that can sustain itself so I can do it for years to come SO….I’m in the midst of planning changes that will make for a better program, broader in scope and more entertaining which hopefully you will like as well as I do.
Some times I get too close to the forest for the trees, and people I trust were telling me that the show was too heavy with facts and too light with Scott (is that possible). They said people tune in to listen to me, not a recitation of the Congressional Record, so expect a lot more of my insight, opinion and humor in the future! Leave a comment if you have some ideas for the new show.

I thought long and hard about it (about 3 minutes) and since I’m the boss of me, I decided that since everybody in my company had the day off tomorrow, I deserved one, too, so no Anderson In The Middle this Friday. I’ll be back next week and I might even put a special podcast up this weekend. Maybe even with VIDEO!!!! Have a great 4th weekend!

If Michael Jackson was a child molester, I detest that part of him, even in death, but what I detest more was a business and social culture that destroyed him as a child and then money men and syncophants who supported his obvious psychosis throughout his remaining life. Where was his family…where were his friends? What a freaking waste.

I’m well aware that Democrats have done MORE than their share of whoring around, but man, it seems as though the Republicans have gone crazy! Mark Sanford, Governor of South Carolina came home today and held one of the strangest press conferences I’ve ever seen, offering up his mea culpa for messing around with some Argentine hot tamale for the last year (yeah, right..he admits to the last year, but he’s known her for eight). He apologized to everybody but me, and you know what? I don’t care. I don’t care if he stays in his job as governor, because his political life is over and he’ll be turned out of office easily next election. I don’t care if he quits and goes hiking on the Appalachian Trail as his first lies avowed. What I do care about is his poor wife and kids. Does anybody think about them anymore before before they drop their pants?
Clinton, Spitzer, Sanford and all those whose transgressions were hinted at but NOT reported ought to ask themselves if the good time was worth it. As a man who dearly loves every woman he meets but will be married 37 years to the same woman in November, I say; “Try some self-control…do what I do…eat something rather than act on all your basest instincts, will ya?”

Scott talks about how stupid we can be about the information we get on issues, also looks at what we are being told about the health care debate from both sides and what we can believe and talks about philosophy and some questions to ponder.

Scott talks about how people who influence your lives say such amazingly stupid things and how they can affect they way you think about important issues.
Then we talk with Timothy Karr, campaign director, FreePress.net regarding the movement to keep the Internet (and all media) FREE and how your elected officials are angling to get you to pay for it.
And we interview Author Franklin Hooper — In his new political satire, Deadline for a Dark Horse, he draws from both his academic knowledge and his own enormous and incredibly varied life experiences to explore the possibility of an attractive renegade Dark Horse politician deadlocking the political conventions…see how easy it could be to loosen the grip of both political parties and finally get things done?

Too busy getting things together for the show, uploading videos of the show to my new YouTube video channel and getting a bunch of publicity things for the show done to go out of town for a vacation, so Mary, Mary Extraordinary and I are staying home in the grand old tradition of the STAYcation…you know, where you’re either too tethered to home or too poor (both in my case) to go on a proper vacation. The nice thing is I live in the desert where the sun always shines and I’m lucky enough to have a swimming pool in my back yard, so while it’s not quite Maui, it is a nice little break in the action. Since it’s been two years since my last vacation, I’m ready, Freddy!
I’ll be back on Tuesday June 16th with new shows and lots of new Anderson In The Middle News, so stay tuned for more!

No guests this show, just me talking about lies we are told by politicians, lies we tell ourselves about the condition and pre-eminence of our country we love so much and a serious look at the real numbers behind how we stack up against other countries that have such evil things as Universal Health Care. We’re a whole lot better off than France, Sweden, England and Canada, right?

I take some time to discuss what the show will be all about, then I am joined by Andrew Evans, National Chairman of The American Centrist Party to find out what a political party of neither left nor right looks like. The we speak with Dave Lefcourt about his book Deceit and Excess In America: How Moneyed Interests Have Stolen America and How We Can Get It Back .
